A phone photo in golden hour beats a DSLR under fluorescent lights every time. Natural light, golden hour or bright overcast, is the single biggest quality lever. Avoid harsh overhead bathroom lighting (prints every pore) and on-camera flash (prints every blemish).
Photo 1: clear face, eye level, natural smile. Photo 2: full body, standing naturally. Photo 3: you doing something you care about — cooking, climbing, playing. Photo 4: with one or two friends. Photo 5-6: candid or traveling or a weird hobby. This sequence reads: attractive, grounded, interesting, social, specific.
