Photos: the non-negotiables
Lead with a clear face photo at eye level, natural light, gentle smile. Include one full-body photo, one doing something you actually do, and one group photo (not first). Avoid: sunglasses on photo one, filters heavy enough to change your face, group photos where people have to guess which one is you.
Bio: three lines, not ten
Hook, moment, invitation. That's the shape. If you can't find the hook, tell a 20-word story about a weird interest. 'I rank sandwiches by geometry' beats 'food enthusiast' every single time.
Prompts: specificity over cleverness
On Hinge especially, the winning prompts are weird-specific: exact order at the diner, a song you've overplayed this month, a habit you'd defend at trial. Clever in the abstract ('Two truths and a lie: I've met a celebrity, I speak three languages, I can juggle') is invisible.
